Quote it properly
An itemised scope before work starts. If we can't estimate something confidently, we say so rather than padding it quietly.
Bad news early
If a date is at risk or a material isn't available, you hear it that week — not at handover when nothing can be done about it.
Finish the last 5%
The snag list, the documentation, the trim that never got fitted. Projects are judged on the ending, so we close it out.
